HELP NEEDED

A few years ago, I was forced to have a revision on a knee replacement and then totally shocked and unprepared to have muscle surgery as well. It was horrible and nearly left me bedridden. The recovery was horrible too but made more horrible by the fact that I had a litter of kittens, three of whom became nearly feral…they still reside with me, one has been spayed. These girls have a home with me forever, regardless, but I would be interested to know if anyone would like to adopt one or more?? I do not have the time, and have too many other cats to care for, to try and rehabilitate them. They are very healthy, two years old and must be indoor only cats….they know NO other life. They are purebred Maine Coons. I am in the process of “trapping” the two that have not been spayed, and getting them doctored and sorted out. You must be comfortable with cats and understand just how difficult a feral cat can be. But they ARE able to be tamed……they do not really know HOW to be feral! It will be a challenge for someone who is interested! They are beautiful, healthy cats…….just need the time!!! I will make sure they are spayed and fully up to date on vaccines, deworm, etc

Please feel free to call me and chat or email me….LRTWoods@hotmail.com….330-219-9897

Thanks for any input or help!!

  1. Hi Laurie. My name is Kelli. I was referred to your site by Karen Thompkins Jamison because I have been searching for Maine Coon kittens or younger cats for quite some time without luck. I am in Ohio as well.
Are you still considering adopting your girls out? I understand completely what you are going through. I had a total hip replacement some years ago that didn’t heal well and still gives me problems sometimes.
I do have some experience taking in feral cats. For some reason they seem to find their way to me in the wintertime. I literally had to thaw out a kitten we found under our porch! I would like to talk with you more about this and maybe meet the cats to see if we would be a good fit.
I believe I read you are in Beavercreek, is that near Dayton? My son attends Wright State and we will be taking him back to school on Sunday. I look forward to hearing from you and get well soon!!

    1. HI! Im so sorry but I’m not very good with this website….in fact I stink! I JUST NOW found your message!! Thank you so much for contacting me ! IF you are still interested in the wild girls…please call me! They seriously need to get spayed and go to a new home. They are lovely but very feral! I live in Youngstown, Ohio….quite able to travel to PA. Again,,,sorry for the late reply….330-219-9897. Best bet is to send a text with a good time to call…I’m a Lyft driver and can’t answer the phone while working! One of the girls is already spayed, the other two have to be caught and doctored.
      THANK YOU!!
